- HOW TO USE: Talstar is best applied with a sprayer. The product works great, but even when I use 50% more the bug control only lasts 2 months. After 2 months it still works, but you can see the large beetles and other insects slowly but surely making their way to the places that were sprayed. Normally I'd attribute this to rain, washing way the material, but we've had a very very dry Winter & Spring. Almost no rain at all.
