They fit well and were comfortable from the moment I put them on my feet. I was very happy with them after wearing them around the house and around town, both for comfort and style. The real test came a few weeks ago when I took them hiking in the Black Hills and Yellowstone. They held up great, and my feet never hurt, even on 10 mile hikes with large elevation changes. We walked through large snow drifts in Yellowstone, and while not completely waterproof, they kept my feet drier than my companion's New Balances and also dried more quickly.I first tried a pair of Columbia's for $55 but was very disappointed. This is a lot better shoe for not much more money. Be aware that they run a little on the small side. I am truly a size 14.5 but usually require 15 since I can't find 14.5's.
