5.0 out of 5 stars This was a very good purchase, November 16, 2011

This is a real World war 2 M52 helmet.
Its steel :D
i had too adjust it for my big head but, after that it fit nice.
This was just what i was looking for and it came fast.
Its a little big looking though.
The helmet did not hurt much at all even after wearing it for about 4 hours(while playing MW3), with the chin strap on.

3.0 out of 5 stars Russian WWII M52 Helmet, April 26, 2012

I was directing a movie and I needed to find some good props. After searching around, I decided to buy this one.

The helmet came on time and the packaging was good.
When I took it out, I noticed that there were scratches on it, but that was ok, because it looks realistic and as if it has seen action.

The main problem keeping this product from getting 5 stars is that the helmet couldn't be strapped on my head because the chin pad you see in the product picture wasn't on mine.
The strap I had also wasn't a "Y" strap but was a single strap and that kept wiggling around on my head while I was filming

4.0 out of 5 stars Cold War not World War II, April 25, 2012
This review is from: Russian WWII M52 Helmet (Misc.)
As another reviewer noted, this is not a WWII helmet. It is a Czechoslovakian (still in the USSR) helmet from the Cold War. The helmet had some dirt in it, which only supports the idea that it was, in fact, used. It has multiple adjustable straps so you should be able to make it fit. The chin guard was missing from mine, but the straps can be tied to wear it. On the back of the helmet I received was the name of the previous owner, lightly engraved. I think it says "Franya" or "Franka", but it is light and hard to read. If the helmet had been correctly labeled as Czechoslovakian I would have rated 5, but the false advertising needs to be noted.
