And so, like many another purchase, I did not expect much from the Flame-less LED Lantern. I have been pleasantly surprised. As mentioned in a previous review, it does look surprisingly real, the base is metal, and the flute is glass. I have had it on constantly for maybe the last week or two, non-stop, first set of batteries, and it is just beginning to go out. Even as it is dying (which has taken 3 days now), it seems to mimic a real lantern on it's last bit of oil.I have several friends, and two nieces, that are history buffs, and I'm planning to order them all one.
